Basic Supercharger Installation

SPC superchargers are universal and can fit in many different locations.  With so many installation possibilities, we will give you the basic installation instructions.  If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.  Email is typically the best way.  If possible, please include any necessary pictures to show what you are working with.

The installation is rather straight forward.  However, often times, takes some creative planning, bracket fabrication and a little trial and error.  Try to take the time to do a clean installation and don’t be afraid to alter the installation if you need to.  The installation may also be a multi step process of obtaining the correct parts…ie…silicone tubes, brackets, clamps and so on.  Once you have the supercharger in hand and get an idea of how you want the layout to go, then you may want to order the correct silicone tubes, elbows and clamps.  We have available most all the silicone parts and clamps available.

It boils down to this:

Air filter – Mass Air Flow Sensor – Vacuum Tubes - Supercharger – Blow Off Valve (preferably) – Intercooler - Throttle Body

You may use aluminum, steel or silicone tubing, reducers and couplers.  Do not use hard plastic or cheap rubber tubes/couplers.  They don’t last and may not hold pressure well.  Vacuum fittings can be obtained at most local auto parts stores or hardware stores.  They need to be screwed into metal and sealed…or use a high quality flexible epoxy for use with silicone.  Most exhaust shops will bend tubing for you, just bring your supercharger and show them what you need.

Both positive and negative cables are provided…and are needed to run from the supercharger battery to the supercharger.  You cannot simply run a positive and ground the negative to the body of the car.  However, you need only run the positive lead from the main vehicle battery to the supercharger battery and ground the supercharger battery to the car body.  For adding an isolator, setup charger or step-down unit for 24v alternators to step down to 12v, please see the manufactures manual that come with the respective unit.
